Wines range from £25 to £1,900 (a Château Latour), with prices sensibly geared towards the lower end of that scale. The Lords status as an independently-owned hotel allows Jeremie to be nimble in buying wine from smaller, high quality producers.
1000 bins is exceptional for a one star Michelin property, but the aim has been to ensure that all budgets and tastes area catered for – rather than simply build a library of expensive wine for the sake of it. For example, special attention is paid to half bottles as it often happens that two diners may prefer to have different wines through the course of dinner.
Jeremie, who is always proud to show guests his cellar, will also source different vintages from the same producer in order to ensure a range of prices across a particular wine.
