Regular Garden Tours

Our 8 acres of Cotswold gardens are an all-important aspect of daily life at Lords of the Manor, especially now that we have completed our new Herb Garden – chef is regularly spotted here!

In response to demand we now offer a regular Garden Tour and Two Course Lunch through the Spring, Summer and Autumn months. This wonderful experience includes a detailed tour of our stunning gardens and herb gardens alongside a two course lunch and glass of wine. We’ll also send you on your way with some seeds and planting advice.

Our next tour, however, will be a very special one indeed, with a celebrity guest! 

Friday 22nd June –  Jekka McVicar (VMH) Garden Presentation, Tour and Luncheon 

On Friday 22nd June, we will be joined by Jekka McVicar who will be giving a herb presentation and leading a tour of our garden and herb garden.Well known to readers of BBC Gardener’s World magazine and The Guardian, Jekka is an organic gardening, author and broadcaster, recently awarded the VMH (Victoria Medal of Honour) for her services to horticulture. She is a Vice President of the RHS and has chaired the judging of the Great Pavilion at the Chelsea Flower Show (2012, 2013, 2018).

The tour will take place as follows :

10.30am – Arrival from 10:30 with tea/coffee/cakes

11.00am –Jekka’s presentation on Herbs for Health, ‘We are what we eat’

12.00pm  – The tour begins with the Garden & Herb Garden tour with Jekka McVicar assisted by Megan Sharp – our Senior Gardener

1.30pm  – The tour is closed by a delicious three-course luncheon by Head Chef, Charles Smith using herbs from our garden in the recipes – During lunch Charles will give a brief talk on the use of herbs in his dishes

Approximately 3.00pm Luncheon ends
